Oolitic aragonite is a marine-origin calcium carbonate that forms as rounded, concentrically layered grains on the Great Bahama Bank. AragoCor collects, dries, screens and sizes it mechanically — there is no calcination step and no quarry blasting — and supplies it as the orthorhombic aragonite polymorph, distinct from the calcite that makes up quarried limestone.

What is oolitic aragonite?

Oolitic aragonite is a naturally occurring calcium carbonate that forms in warm, shallow marine water as ooids — rounded grains built up in concentric layers. It is the orthorhombic aragonite polymorph of CaCO3, mineralogically distinct from the calcite that makes up quarried limestone, and it carries CAS number 1317-65-3.

What grades and particle sizes are supplied in bulk?

Four graded products: AG-CAL at 0.2–0.5 mm, GL-CAL below 0.1 mm, WT-CAL at 1–3 mm and PL-CAL sized to specification. Blends are produced across mesh 20 to 325 for application-specific programs.

How much calcium does the material supply?
