Technical data sheet
Oolitic Aragonite
Natural high-purity calcium carbonate · Bahamian marine origin
Description
Oolitic aragonite is a naturally occurring polymorph of calcium carbonate formed in warm, shallow Bahamian marine conditions. Its orthorhombic crystal structure differs from calcite and can affect dissolution and process behavior. The described preparation includes mechanical collection, washing, screening, drying and classification without quarry blasting or a calcination step.
Applications
Agriculture and soil amendment · aquarium and aquaculture · oilfield bridging and weighting · construction and cement · glass batch feed · environmental remediation · ground calcium carbonate fillers · water treatment · horticulture and turf.
